Book Description:

The phrase “blood of Christ” is used many times throughout the New Testament and is the expression of the sacrificial death and full atoning work of Jesus Christ on the behalf of sinners. It's a phrase that has gone out of vogue in the past several decades, but serves as the penultimate illustration of the means of our atonement and the basis of the New Covenant. While the blood of bulls and goats were a “reminder” of sin, “the precious blood of Christ, a lamb without blemish or defect” (1 Pet 1:9) paid in full the death of sin we owe to God, and we need no further sacrifices for sin.

This small book explores 9 benefits of the blood of Christ for the believer.

Endorsements:

"In a brief compass, Dr. Benge details the tremendous implications and eternal significance of the shedding of the blood of Jesus Christ. In so doing, he displays the heart of the gospel in all of its truth, beauty, simplicity, power, and awesomeness. Though a quick read, this book's rich content require deep meditation."
--Michael A.G. Haykin, chair and professor of church history, The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky.

"In this book, Dustin Benge gives us a fresh glimpse of those biblical words that shine like light rays on the cross, making the darkness of ignorance flee and enabling us to see the breadth and length and height and depth of God's love for his elect people. Meditating on Christ's atoning work always leaves you with a fresh sense of profound gratitude for God's grace and reignites holy energy in worship. This book will do that for you!"
--Conrad Mbewe, pastor of Kabwata Baptist Church and founding chancellor of the African Christian University in Lusaka, Zambia.

"Not since John Murray's classic book Redemption Accomplished and Applied has there been a more readily accessible, doctrinally rich, and beautifully written work than what Dustin Benge has offered us in The Precious Blood. Discussions pertaining to the blood of Christ have been slowly sidelined over the years in contradiction to the timeless teaching of Scripture. Dustin wants to bring this discussion back into the light and shine it warmly on the hearts of those who need it most. I'm deeply grateful for this book and truly believe it will serve the Christian both doctrinally and devotionally."
--Nate Pickowicz, teaching pastor, Harvest Bible Church, Gilmanton Iron Works, New Hampshire.

"The Precious Blood is a deep yet accessible study on the blood of Christ. It will both stir your heart and lift your mind to heaven, where Christ is seated. After reading, you will be all the more thankful to Christ and even more resolved to live your life solely for him."
--Grant Castleberry, senior pastor, Capital Community Church, Raleigh, North Carolina.

"The victory Jesus purchased for believers is a gift greater than we imagine. Much was accomplished by Christ on the cross, and it demands our deepest consideration and is worthy of our highest praise. In The Precious Blood, Dr. Benge humbly and pastorally walks the reader through the many facets of the gift God gave us when he offered his Son as payment for our sins. Christ's blood was sufficient; its results are profound. No Christian can read this book without closing its pages and immediately offering up a prayer of worship and gratitude."
--Michael Staton, pastor, First Baptist Mustang, Mustang, Oklahoma.
