Book Description

Very God Very Man is an in-depth follow-up to Pastor Curt's 100 Proofs That Jesus is God. In 100 short chapters, Curt examines the deity of Christ in relation to His humanity, His death and resurrection, the Trinity, and other precious Christological truths concerning His humiliation and exaltation. Pastor Curt writes decidedly from the perspective of historic, conservative, evangelical, and Reformed theology, ably refuting various ancient and modern heresies. Very God Very Man is written simply, clearly, and with a doxological focus to lead God’s people to praise Jesus the God-Man more highly and love Him more deeply. This work is a must-read for every believer longing to know and adore Christ.

Endorsements

"Scripture teaches with remarkable clarity that Jesus Christ is truly God and truly man. Our human minds are incapable of fully comprehending that truth. Like the idea of eternity, while we know it is necessarily true, we can never completely wrap our finite minds around the concept. And yet the incarnation of God in human form is so central to the Christian faith that to subvert the doctrine by twisting it or denying it is the very spirit of antichrist (2 John 7). Pitfalls loom on every side. Dr. Curt Daniel masterfully identifies both the biblical essentials and the common misunderstandings of Christ’s incarnation, and he explains it as thoroughly and as simply as possible. This extremely helpful handbook is a welcome resource for lay people and pastors alike."
Phil Johnson, Executive Director of Grace to You, Elder at Grace Community Church in Sun Valley, CA

"Curt Daniel has shown his commitment to Christian orthodoxy in many works. He manifests it again here in this fine and helpful defense of the full deity of Jesus Christ. May God bless his labors!"
Dr. Sam Waldron, President and Professor of Systematic Theology at Covenant Baptist Theological Seminary, Pastor of Grace Reformed Baptist Church in Owensboro, KY, Author of The Doctrine of Last Things: An Optimistic Amillennial View

"The doctrine of the incarnation of the Son of God must be held with clarity and conviction. As a foundational truth of Christianity, it must be biblically understood and faithfully defended, for the very message of the gospel depends on Jesus Christ being both fully God and fully man. For this reason, I am deeply grateful for Curt Daniel’s clear and accessible treatment of this vital doctrine. His work sharpens the thinking of even the most seasoned theologian while providing essential guardrails for the youngest Christian. Most importantly, it deepens our appreciation for the immeasurable cost of our redemption. I commend it to all."
