In 1950, Rev. A. Vergunst (1926-1981) became minister of the Netherlands Reformed Congregation of Zeist, The Netherlands. In 1954, he accepted the call to Corsica, United States. Later, he served the congregations of Rotterdam-Central (1957) and Veen (1972), both in the Netherlands. In 1981, he again went to the United States to serve the congregation of Kalamazoo. He passed away that same year.
