From the depths of history and the terrible days of the Great Wars we read stories of courage and danger but ultimately of faith, hope and love. A grandfather sits in front of a warm fire as the flames rekindle memories of times long gone - the next generation needs to know the truth. A table cloth and a large mischievous dog bring two women together from different sides of a bitter struggle.
