Book Description:

What is more soul satisfying than contemplating our interest in Christ?

In this brief but compelling book, William Perkins offers an insightful treatment of what it means to rest in Christ's sole sufficiency. He does this by carefully explaining what it means to know Christ crucified and the inestimable advantage we gain from His being our redeemer. This message tears down all self-righteousness and extols the riches of God's grace in Jesus, urging us to rest in "a perfect Christ, a perfect Redeemer!" As you read, may your faith be strengthened, your hope renewed, and your love enflamed.

Series Description: Interest in the Puritans continues to grow, but many people find reading these giants of the faith a bit unnerving. The Puritan Treasures for Today Series seeks to overcome that barrier by presenting Puritan books that are convenient in size and unintimidating in length. Each book is carefully edited with modern readers in mind, smoothing out difficult language of a bygone era while retaining the meaning of the original authors. Books for the series are thoughtfully selected to provide some of the best counsel on important subjects that people continue to wrestle with today.

Conclusion

Author:

William Perkins (1558-1602) was a well-respected preacher and teacher at Christ's College, Cambridge. His influence on students there produced a generation of Puritan-minded ministers.

Endorsement:

"William Perkins was at his best when he reflected on Christ and His work from his pulpit and with his pen. Stephen Yuille has made that reflection eminently accessible in this thoughtfully organized and readable little volume. Yuille has spent years mastering the art of presenting Puritan doctrine in digestible ways through his preaching ministry. Here we find that mastery on full display."
--Andrew S. Ballitch, pastor, Westwood Alliance Church, Ontario, Ohio
