The Brave Tinker

This book follows the varied and eventful life of the well-known preacher and author John Bunyan.

The story starts with his expulsion from school. He then took up the life of a tinker, going from house to house fixing broken pots and pans. Later he experienced the rough life of a soldier. He was very poor when he got married. He was then turned by God from being the town's most notorious profane man into one who prayed, and finally became a preacher. It was because of his preaching that he was arrested and kept in prison for years. It was there that he wrote his most well-known book, The Pilgrims Progress.

A fascinating story for boys and girls age 10 and up.
