Endorsements:

This devotional is really, really good. Just when I thought I knew all of Spurgeon's gems, J.A. Medders has gone to the treasure chest and brought out some more. Read this to enjoy C.H. Spurgeon at his very best and to fix your eyes on Jesus.
--Alistair Begg, Bible Teacher, Truth For Life; Senior Pastor, Parkside Church, Cleveland; Author, Pray Big and A Christian Manifesto

In Jeff Medders' The Risen King, we have the opportunity to taste Charles Spurgeon's writings as renewed wine in new wineskins. These fresh devotionals have a high trinitarian focus and enable us to worship God in Spirit and truth while clearly pointing to Jesus, our Redeemer. Medders masterfully regenerates Spurgeon's voice with a tone refreshingly asserting that Spurgeon still speaks to us today.
--Robert Smith Jr, Charles T. Carter Baptist Chair of Divinity, Beeson Divinity School, Samford University

The Risen King is an incredibly edifying devotional whether read during the Easter season or any other time. Jeff Medders has done a masterful job of extracting jewels of gospel saturated, thought provoking and poignantly clear doctrine from the enormous collection of Charles Spurgeon's sermons. What a joy to be reminded in such sweet, rich and heartfelt admonitions from the well-named Prince of Preachers how our daily lives must be overflowing with sheer gratitude for the matchless work of Christ. I am already looking forward to the companion volume, The Newborn King.
--Mary Mohler, Author, Growing in Gratitude
