Masters of the English Reformation

This book tells the story of the English Reformation. It brings light to the inner movement of the Spirit of God in men of humble heart and heroic faith. The five men chosen for this study, Thomas Bilney, William Tyndale, Hugh Latimer, Nicholas Ridley and Thomas Cranmer, were the most significant of those who laid down their lives for the cause of the English Reformation.

This book is important because it tells the story of conversion - the conversion of individuals - as increasing light broke upon them of the living Christ of the Scriptures; it also deals with the struggle for the 'conversion' of a church and a nation.
The new light and truth won for us, both by intellectual battles fought against fierce and tenacious opposition, and through the fires of martyrdom, should not be forgotten.
