Sermons on the Beatitudes

This short series on the Beatitudes, translated for the first time in English, comprises Calvin's exposition of Matthew 5:1-12, Mark 3:13-19, and Luke 6:12-26. While he began the series in 1559, illness forces his retirement from the pulpit and left it to be completed in 1564. This was Calvin's last effort to elucidate a New Testament text in the context of regular public worship.
